#TheRedcliffeNovels Spin-Off: The Darkness of Love #ASMSG

If you enjoyed reading The Redcliffe Novels, perhaps you would like to see the story of our favourite bad-boy vampire Marcus Scott? He wasn’t always a suave, sexy businessman…

The Darkness of Love - A Victorian vampire lord seeks an heir for his estate in this English Gothic novel with passion and flair.

Lord Gregory Stockton is a powerful and respected businessman embracing the modern era of the Victorian industrial revolution. He has a grand and beautiful manor house complete with a repertoire of servants, and his young wife is charming, attractive, and the perfect lady to his gentleman. The only thing they lack is an heir to the family estate. Lord Gregory knows he can never produce a child, for he is a vampire, although his wife and servants know nothing of his secrets. There are other ways to provide heirs for his estate, however, and Lord Gregory has noticed the romantic attraction between his wife and the young stable hand Marcus Scott. He hatches a plan to bring the would-be lovers together, and then cruelly tear them apart as he continues to build his empire and secure his power base in the south of England. The humans are pawns in the vampire’s game of lust, love and control.

RELAUNCH! The Redcliffe Novels Series – British Paranormal Romance #ASMSG #TheRedcliffeNovels

The Redcliffe novels series follow the adventures of bookshop owner Jessica Stone as she meets a man and falls in love, only to discover the hidden werewolf secrets of her close friends. Who knew the Cornish coast could be so deadly?

Love Hurts (A Redcliffe Novel) is about a young woman who runs a bookshop in Cornwall with her best friend. She falls in love with a local police detective and later discovers that he is a vampire, and that his identical twin brother is a werewolf. She is dragged into their complicated and dangerous lives, to her detriment, where secrets are told and lives are lost...

Love Kills (A Redcliffe Novel) is book 2 in the developing Redcliffe series. In the quiet Cornish seaside town of Redcliffe, Jessica Stone recovers from an horrific werewolf attack and comes to terms with revelations that her lover, Jack Mason, is a vampire, his brother, Danny, the werewolf pack leader, and her best friend, Simon, is a werewolf.  Add to that her discovery that she is a witch, and life is suddenly a whole lot harder than it used to be. Jessica has to fight for her own life and Jack’s when faced with his jealous vampire master who wants her old lover back. But things are never easy, and a vampire master is not so easy to defeat…

Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel). Life has changed forever in Redcliffe, Cornwall. Jessica Stone used to be a normal, happy human. Now she is an angry, conflicted and confused witch. It all happened when she met Detective Jack Mason and his identical twin brother Danny. Jessica almost died twice, fell into a love triangle, and she became a murderer. Now she faces the ultimate challenge as she continues the fight to save the man she loves, while simultaneously struggling with her lust for his werewolf brother and their vampire friend. Can she survive, or will love finally end her life completely?

Eye of the Tiger (A Redcliffe Novel). Jessica Stone used to be a normal human. Then she fell in love with a vampire, met his identical twin werewolf brother, and her life fell apart spectacularly. Meeting Detective Jack Mason, and his brother Danny, brought about a powerful change, and Jessica’s magic was released. Now, in Redcliffe book 4, she must learn to control her ethereal animal familiar, who lusts after the alpha werewolf, and will stop at nothing to use her human mistress as a tool... Or is that a weapon?

The Redcliffe novels are widely available in paperback and ebook formats from UK bookshops, your local library (UK only), and online with retailers including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Smashwords and more. See buy links HERE.

Did You Read His Story? The Darkness of Love #ASMSG

In all the excitement of preparing to release book 4 in the Redcliffe novels series, it seems I have neglected a couple of my older stories. Have you read The Darkness of Love yet? This Victorian vampire romance is not what you would expect, as my reviewers have reliably informed me. It tells the story of the vampire Marcus Scott who we meet in Redcliffe, Cornwall. He was a mere stablehand on an English country estate before he became immortal…

The Darkness of Love available from Chances Press

Read his story, and catch up with one of his later adventures in Christmas With the Vampires. I will be back on Monday to reveal the cover for my brand new upcoming novel, Eye of the Tiger (A Redcliffe Novel).

Coming Soon: Eye of the Tiger (A Redcliffe Novel) #ASMSG

I am very pleased to announce that book 4 in the Redcliffe novels series will be published this summer. Yes, Eye of the Tiger (A Redcliffe Novel) is finally finished. I have been working on this baby since 2013, although I’m sure you will understand the delay when I tell you that my youngest child is three years old…

Nevertheless, I persevered amidst the chaos of breastfeeding, nappy changing, and everything else that babies and toddlers need. I also worked on a few other novels in the interim, when new ideas presented themselves and new characters were born. Well, you will see the cover reveal for Eye of the Tiger (A Redcliffe Novel) very soon. In the meantime, if you haven’t read the first three novels in the series, you had better get reading!

‘The Valentine’s Card’ from My Vampire Boyfriend Anthology

Happy Valentine’s Day, my book loving friends! I am feeling all soppy and romantic after spending some quality time with my husband this weekend (and no, we didn’t do roses and dating!) Anyway, today I share with you an excerpt from the short story The Valentine’s Card which features inside the Redcliffe short story anthology, My Vampire Boyfriend. You can download the book today for just 99p! Consider it my Valentine’s Day gift to you…

“The card was white with a vase of pink roses printed on the front, glittered for effect. It didn’t feel like something Jack would send. It looked garish and dated. I opened it up, feeling a strange sense of dread. There was a message inside, printed by hand in blue biro. It read, “Happy Valentine’s Day Jessica. See you tonight, my little witch.”

I gasped. There was only one person who had called me ‘little witch,’ and she was dead. I destroyed her myself several months ago. I felt sick, picked up my phone, and called Jack.”

PS. I’m taking part in Hooked on Books & Cherry0Blossoms Promotions Annual Valentine’s Hop. Come and take part, lots to be won. Even a chance to win a Kindle. https://hobcbpromotions.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/valentines-hop.html

Book Review: The Wrong Kind of Clouds

I was very fortunate to win a copy of The Wrong Kind of Clouds by Amanda Fleet in an online competition recently. The book is a contemporary crime thriller, and I liked the fact that it was set in Scotland. So many books that I have read recently are American or European, so it is nice to find something a bit closer to home, and in a place that I am more familiar with. Scotland is a spiritual home for me, anyway!

Crime novels are not my preferred genre. I like to read paranormal and horror, but since I had entered the competition and subsequently won, I decided that there was a reason I had to read this book. I was very impressed! The central character turns out to be not so central, since he disappears for the majority of the story. We still don’t know if he survives at the end, which I thought was quite clever of the author. I like to think that he survives, but maybe we find out in another book… I especially liked the unexpected romance between a work-hardened police detective and the female lead, who is a professional photographer and free spirit. I liked her, far more my kind of person!

All in all, I rate this book as very good, and I recommend it to all crime thriller fans, especially those that like Scotland. There is some great atmospheric description, just enough action to keep you hooked, and the chapters are easy to read in short bursts. A great companion for a long journey or a holiday (or in my case, bedtime reading!).
